The tank games duo

Yes, it's about World of Tanks, but now it has a rival called Armored Warfare.

Some may contend that since WoT is about historic tanks and AW is about modern tanks,
they are not directly competitive to each other.
While this statement is valid, it's still worth to mention the following:
1. For WoT players who have tried AW, most of them consider AW is better.
2. WoT population has dropped since AW open beta.
3. Advertisements of AW have already appeared on different websites, such as Youtube.
Before these ads appear, these websites are used to promote WoT.
Noticably these websites are willing to promote AW instead of WoT, and the old ads are replaced.

So that's the question: How is AW better than WoT?
1. While being a F2P game, a lot of features of WoT require players to spend real money.
Some of them like garage slots and barracks spaces are essential for long-time players.
In forum some players say WoT is "milking the cash cow",
i.e. trying to get squeeze as much money from players as possible;
On the other hand, while AW is still not far from its launch,
most of its contents do not require real money.
Players still can enjoy the game without paying.

2. WoT have some gameplay imbalance issues,
some of which are considered as "the game's biggest flaws" by some players.
Some players are also frustrated by the degree of randomness (or luck) appeared in WoT.

3. WoT has a huge game population in Russia, much larger than that in Europe and USA.
Game developers obviously concerned more about the opinion of Russian players.
As a result, there are much more premium Russian tanks than other countries,
and Russian tanks are generally more capable in the battlefield;
A lot of Europe and USA players are unhappy about this but most are ignored for years.
This gives AW an opportunity to establish itself.
AW also use marketing strategies that are directly opposite to WoT, making AW to be superior.

So, will I leave WoT? Well not quite.
I will still play WoT as I have not reached the higher tiers yet,
but will not spend as much effort and time as before.
When I get frustrated in WoT, I can always switch to AW PvE mode to relax.
(PvE mode is what I play the most in AW, so far I really enjoy it.)
And above all, I can still play these games without paying.
