Hard to stay around

Yet another critical comment from the web:

It isn't just one group or two.

It is all groups across the communities are becoming homogeneous.

For all these decades, what have been done for the community?

What have been done to shape the community to become its current form?

The norm a.k.a. the 'grand narrative' has always been there,

and will likely be there for the oncoming years.

The 'grand narrative' is the hidden criteria of the membership.

Some people easily comply, and believe it has nothing wrong.

Some people have to pretend and tell lies, just to stay in the group.

Some people cannot fulfil the conditions, and struggle to stay around.

Some people cannot stand anymore, and they sadly choose to leave.

For all these years, the community has adopted a countercultural approach.

While I agree that some extent of counterculture is essential,

it does not mean being insensitive to anybody.

Despite we all agree that the conditions are not easy to meet,

I doubt if those in the groups really feel about this.

Anyway, when the time has come, such 'grand narrative' will be irrelevant.

We shall be asked about what we have done for all these years.

The awkwardness

Yes, the event is memorable.

Arrangement plausible, content minimal.

I have no reason to stop people going for it.

But the feedback from the masses is rather interesting.

'Yeah congrats, I am thankful and I share the joy with you.

I will show up, but it is not worthy enough for an internet post.'

Maybe if more interaction is allowed,

the content will be more brilliant, and the atmosphere much better.
